Grovo will be shutting down at the end of this year. We want to thank you so much for your support over the past 10 years that we have been offering this product.
This was not a decision that we made lightly, but after carefully evaluating the options for maintaining Grovo, we made the decision to discontinue the service. As part of Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) since November 2018, we are happy to share that CSOD solutions are an option for you to continue to leverage the Grovo content you and your users have grown to love. When will Grovo be discontinued? We will begin decommissioning Grovo on December 31, 2020.
Why was the decision made to discontinue Grovo? Since being acquired by Cornerstone OnDemand in 2018, we have been evaluating the best ways to combine the businesses. Based on a variety of factors including customer experience, technical support capabilities, and others, we have made the decision to integrate Grovo content into Cornerstone’s Content Anytime subscriptions and to retire Grovo’s independent platform.
How do I know when my renewal date is? Review your agreement and check for the Subscription Start Date and Subscription Term. The subscription start date + subscription term tells you what your renewal date is. If you don’t have a copy of your agreement, check with your accounting and/or system management teams. If they can’t find it, please email support@grovo.com to be put in touch with your representative from Cornerstone OnDemand who can help you obtain a copy.
Can I get access to Grovo content anywhere else? Yes, Grovo content is available in Cornerstone Content Anytime subscriptions. Content Anytime can be used within Cornerstone Learning solutions.
Who do I talk to about Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD)? Please email support@grovo.com to be connected to your Cornerstone OnDemand representative.
Who do I talk to about Grovo? You can continue to access Grovo’s technical support channel for any technical or platform-related issues.
Are there incentives to moving to CSOD? Yes. In addition to financial incentives that are available, the CSOD implementation has been streamlined for you based on other Grovo clients who have already made the switch. Additionally, CSOD is the only system where you’ll be able to continue accessing Grovo’s content as well as any content you’ve built in the Create Tool.
How long does it take to implement CSOD solutions? The timeline for your implementation varies depending on your organization and the solutions implemented. We recommend beginning your conversations with CSOD, or any solution, as soon as possible so that you have ample time to transition without disrupting your learner experience.
Can I use the content my team built using the Create Tool in CSOD? Yes, in the Cornerstone system there are options for keeping the content you’ve built using the Create Tool. If you move to other solutions, there are no options for continuing to use content built by the Create Tool.
Can I download content my team built using the Create Tool? No, content produced using Grovo’s proprietary Create Tool cannot be downloaded. We recommend saving or recreating materials that have been incorporated into Grovo Lesson cards and documenting any lessons that you will want to re-create in another system. This applies to content created from scratch as well as lessons created by duplicating Grovo content.
I have already exported content into another system using Grovo's AICC export feature. Can I continue to use these links when Grovo is decommissioned? These links will become inactive when Grovo is decommissioned. Your Cornerstone OnDemand representative can discuss your options to maintain access to Grovo content or content you created in Grovo through CSOD solutions. Once you have determined a new solution, your host system will be able to help you remove any inactive links.
Can I download my user data from Grovo? Yes. By navigating to the Admin > Reporting > Standard Reports tab, you can see a variety of options for downloading your user data. We recommend the Assignment Detail report to capture required user assignments completion & status.
Will my contract auto-renew? No. This communication serves as notice that Grovo will not be exercising its autorenewal option for any active client agreements.
