Repeat attempts for graded assignments
Repeat attempts is a highly-requested feature to support core use cases around mandatory sales training or compliance training whereby it’s typically required to pass, yet Admins want to provide Learners more affordance to retry on a failed attempt. In G1, it was a major administrative headache to replicate this ability to repeat graded assignments, particularly from a tracking and reporting perspective. This feature is positioned to automate this use case for Admins as an additional configuration option for graded assignments.
For the Admin
When configuring a graded assignment, Admins now have the option to enable repeat attempts:

This is opt-in, so the default selection is Unlimited attempts. The Admin may set up to 100 repeat attempts.
From a reporting perspective, reports under Standard reports have been updated to allow an Admin to answer the following questions:
● Q: Are there assignments that are particularly difficult (or easy) to pass? (“Assignment overview by assignment” report)
● Q: What was this user’s final outcome on the assignment? How many attempts did she require before passing? (“Assignment detail” report)
● Q: How did a user perform in each of her attempts? (“Graded assignment details” report)
For the Learner
Upon receiving the assignment, the Learner proceeds as she normally would, but after failing an attempt, she’s now allowed to retake the assignment if there are attempts remaining:
Other product areas reflect this status, including assignment cards:
As well as on Learner assignment details where she sees which attempt she’s on, as well as the ability to hover to understand her score from the last attempt:
Graded assignments are not marked completed until either:
● Completed and passed
● Completed, but failed with no attempts remaining
