Hi, there! You're here because you recently uploaded a CSV file, and received the following error via email:
Now that's all well and good, but what does "Primary Email is invalid or taken" mean?
It probably means that you tried updating an existing user in your Grovo platform, but did not include their correct Employee ID in the CSV file.
As discussed here, Grovo uses Employee ID to identify users in the system. The Employee ID column (Column A) is the first thing that Grovo checks for in the CSV.
When don't include the correct Employee ID for an existing user, Grovo will think it's a new user. When it finds the email address of the existing user in the Primary Email column (Column D), it will return an error because that email is already in use.
If the incorrect EID was a result of a typo - no sweat! Just reference the user's account in Grovo, and include the correct EID in the file.
If you're attempting to update an existing user's Employee ID, head here for instructions on how to do so.
