Our automated migration tools are ready to move your materials and data over to the new platform, so your learners won't miss a beat! As you continue to learn and grow on the platform, check out some of the "pro tips" below to make sure you're getting the most out of Grovo.
Keep reading for a deep dive into the detailed components of your migration!
-
The migration tools will bring over your users, groups, and roles
-
All active or archived users in Grovo legacy (active users will appear in the active user list while archived users will appear in the deactivated users table).
- First name, last name
- Email address
- Email address placeholder for Employee ID
-
Groups
- Groups will all be static, meaning all will be created as “users added by name.”
- You can bulk delete from the Groups table in the new platform if there are groups migrated that you don’t want to utilize.
- Pro tip: Check out this article to learn how to turn your static groups into dynamic smart groups that update automatically based on set user attributes.
- Master Admins
-
Sub-Admins that have powers over ALL groups (we will create new custom roles based on their unique permission sets).
- These custom roles will be titled based on the permission set, for example, "Learn, Create, Manage." You can then edit the title of the role after migration.

Content
-
All current Grovo created lessons in the legacy platform have been migrated, with the exception of a handful of lessons that the new platform no longer supports (this primarily impacts some digital tools content).
- If you have lessons in active Grovo legacy trainings that are not supported in the new Grovo library, we will migrate these lessons specifically to your account for the trainings.
- Material in your legacy Library will migrate as an unpublished lesson draft and Training material will migrate as a published lesson (the latter is default).
-
Your uploaded content will be migrated and turned into individual lessons on Grovo Delta
- PPTs
- Docs
- Videos
-
SCORM
- At this time the new Grovo platform does not support quiz questions attached to SCORM training.
- Pro tip: We recommend separating your SCORM material and assessment questions in order to migrate them successfully. Once separated, they will appear in the new platform as two lessons (i.e. one of SCORM material and one of assessment questions).
-
Quizzes
-
These lessons will be published by default to everyone and available to browse and edit.
- Assessments that are attached at the material level in Grovo legacy are migrated together as a single lesson in the new platform (e.g. video card + quiz card).
- Pro tip: review your quizzes before migration and reduce to four answer options to ensure they successfully migrate.
