At Grovo, we define roles as a set of permissions and powers you can give to a user. The standard roles we use at Grovo are:
Master Administrators have access to all features and content
Learning Administrators can create lessons/tracks, plan campaigns and assign them to anyone
Creators can create lessons and tracks and publish them to anyone
Learner is the default role for Grovo users
Managers can manage all learning for their direct reports
Business Unit Administrators can administer and manage all learning for their Unit
Is there another role you'd like to create? Good news! Custom roles can easily be created. This will allow you to more carefully tailor the powers and privileges of your users.
Custom roles can be created by clicking Admin and then Roles from the left navigation panel.
Need to update a role or a series of roles? You can update a role by clicking on it to open the edit screen.
Additionally, we've made administering roles easier than ever. You can assign roles to individuals directly by adding them in the edit role Users tab or by editing their account information.
Or, roles can also be assigned to a group and the members of that group will inherit the role just by joining that group. We call these indirect roles, and we think they're pretty great.
